Annual Awards Ceremony
More than just an awards ceremony, this annual event is a cherished tradition of celebration of the REC family. We recognize students for their hard work, perseverance, and outstanding achievements – including the Overall Outstanding Student Award, presented to the most exceptional student across the entire centre. It is a special occasion that brings together students, parents, teachers, and alumni to celebrate success and create lasting memories.
Annual Spelling Bee
Held each year — dates are announced ahead of the event. All finalists receive a voucher and certificate; key-stage winners take home a trophy as well.
Annual Sports Day
At REC, Sports Day is a celebration of teamwork, resilience and community spirit. Students, parents and teachers come together to enjoy a variety of sporting activities. The event strengthens the family atmosphere that defines REC, reminding us that personal growth extends far beyond the classroom. It's a celebration of friendship and the vibrant community spirit that makes REC unique.
Annual Book Day
At REC, reading is more than a classroom activity – it's part of our culture. Our dedicated library, open to both students and parents, offers an extensive collection of books across every genre, inspiring readers of all ages. This passion for literature comes to life during our Annual Book Day, where students dress as their favourite book characters and take part in a colourful parade. Judged on creativity, presentation and character portrayal, the event concludes with awards for the most outstanding costumes.
Annual Iftar
For the past five years, REC has hosted its Annual Iftar as a cherished tradition that brings together students and the teachers in the spirit of Ramadan. Hosted in the warm setting of our founder's home, guests break their fast and enjoy a lovingly prepared home cooked meal while sharing in prayers, reflections and meaningful religious activities. More than a meal, it is a celebration of the values that lie at the heart of REC – respect, compassion and community.
